Story of Keesh
by Jack London
The plot revolved around a thirteen-year-old boy hunting bears for his tribe, demonstrating to them that he could be a great hunter by providing a fair share of meat to their village. The story is set in a cold environment. We can conclude this from the word "igloo" used in the story. Keesh also hunted bears, as we know from the fact that the bear was discovered in a cold place.
The story began with Keesh arguing with their leader about meat distribution and ended with him discovering the secret to his great hunting ability. The author attempts to depict things that are common in our daily lives. This includes the notion that we occasionally have misunderstandings with those who do not share our viewpoint. Also, Keesha's status as a silent hunter suggests that rather than being arrogant and boasting about our abilities, we should labor quietly and let success speak for itself. Furthermore, Keesh is a major character with a significant part in the plot, and the author expects him to give the appearance of being a community savior.
The narrative started out a little dull and uninteresting, but it ended up being quite good. If you keep reading, you'll figure out what the narrative is about and how it will end. The narrative teaches us virtues such as fighting for what we believe in and not allowing someone to stomp on our dignity. It also teaches us to be fair to others, to value other people's efforts and sacrifices, and to refrain from imposing prejudice before proving someone else's work. It was a fantastic story.
The author used imagery, paradox, irony, simile, and onomatopoeia to illustrate a subject, which obtains a clarity that could not be achieved any other way, and symbols to elaborate the essential events to make it more real and intriguing. It will make all of the scenarios in the novel easy to comprehend.
The narrative ended nicely because Keesh was able to show them that he was a great hunter like his father and the meat distribution at their village.
